Hi and welcome to Vegan Vigilante, home to delicious vegan recipes and vegan lifestyle tips. I started this blog because I have a passion for vegan food and an even greater passion for cooking vegan food. All my recipes are sampled by my boyfriend Michael, my #1 fan. Please be patient as I will be adding new recipes weekly and at first, there won’t be a whole lot of content. But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right! I welcome your comments and constructive criticism as the blog grows and if you see a recipe you like, please be sure to share the link with a friend.
My story: I too, was raised by my parents to be carnivorous. It wasn’t until college that I began to change my ways. I started off being vegetarian and was so for many years, but I still struggled with weight problems and feeling sluggish from the foods I was eating (lots of cheese, milk, eggs, etc.) Several months ago, I decided to do the 21 day Vegan Kickstart Program and although I did not follow their recipes, I became full-on vegan. I have not faltered and stayed with veganism after the 21 days were over vowing never to go back to my old eating habits. I have lost at least 20 pounds so far in the short time being a vegan and continue to lose on a weekly basis without really even trying.
I am a fantastic cook and experimented with many recipes while being a vegetarian. After switching to veganism, I started creating even better recipes and whalla, now this blog to share my ideas with the world. Going vegan is a personal choice for me. It’s not just about eating healthy, but it’s about living a cruel-free lifestyle. My motto is, I can’t say I love animals and then eat them. I feel good about being vegan and hope you will share this journey with me.
